System Requirements
-------------------
1.Since this is a TYAN product that supports TYAN System Boards, TSM should be set up on a TYAN System Board mentioned in each corresponding version.
2.Windows 2000 Operating System (OS).
3.Recommend 32MB of system memory; more than 32MB is better.
4.Un-install all previous versions of TSM before proceeding to installation.

Installation from CD
--------------------
1.Insert the "TYAN System Monitor CD" into your CD-ROM drive.
2.Go to your CD-ROM drive, and run the program called "Setup.exe". The "Setup.exe" program will then begin installation. 
3.Follow the instructions from the Installation program.
4.Finally, you will be asked whether to "Restart Computer" or "Do Not Restart". Please note, the TYAN System Monitor will not work properly unless you have restarted your computer.

Installation from Web download
------------------------------
1.Open an Internet browser (IE or Netscape).
2.Open link "http://www.tyan.com/support/html/sm_software.html"
3.Download Tyan System Monitor to a desired directory (such as C:\temp).
4.Extract the file from desired directory to a new directory (such as C:\temp\TSM)
5.Go to this new directory (C:\temp\TSM)
6.Run the program called "Setup.exe". The "Setup.exe" program will then begin installation. 
7.Follow the instructions from the Installation program.
8.Finally, you will be asked whether to "Restart Computer" or "Do Not Restart". Please note, the TYAN System Monitor will not work properly unless you have restarted your computer.

Usage
-----
After you have installed the TYAN System Monitor on your system, you will be able to run it. The first time you run the TYAN System Monitor, you will be asked for the name of the TYAN System Board that you are running the TYAN System Monitor on. Note you MUST select the correct product name, and then press "OK" in order to enter into the TYAN System Monitor program. After the first successful run, the TYAN System Monitor will remember which TYAN System Board it has been installed on.
If you want the program to run as a background process, you can click on the "X" on the top-right corner of the TYAN System Monitor. This will not cause the program to stop: it will only cause the program to run as a background process. If you want to call up the TYAN System Monitor program from the background, you can use the tray icon, located in the bottom-right corner of your Windows desktop.
If you want to exit the TYAN System Monitor program, you MUST use the "EXIT" button, located in the TYAN System Monitor main window.

Announcement

The default thresholds in the application is only an average guess across all boards. These thresholds are not even suggestive to any particular board. The user should put in their own values according to their own field test.
