1. Description
------------------------------
SystemLock is a freeware program that was designed to lock your
PC while you are away from it. So, what does SystemLock do? Easy!

SystemLock will perform the following tasks:
* Disable necessary shortcut keys (like Alt+Ctrl+Del, Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Esc, Alt+F4)
* Disable the Windows key and the Taskbar
* Search for Screensavers which can be run from SystemLock
* Allow you to verify and/or change your Screensaver password
* Allow you to disable or enable your Screensaver
* Limit the mouseCursor's movement to SystemLock

By disabling all those System Shortcut Keys, no one can do
anything on your PC (well, almost). But by limiting the
mouse movement, no one can do anything, and that includes
messing with your desktop!

Concerning the screensavers: Why?
To be honest, I have just learned how to do it, so I implemented
the function. But you can agree with one thing: If your screensaver
is password protected, you have double security!

2. Requirements
------------------------------
To be able to use SystemLock, you will have to be using
Windows 95 or Windows 98. SystemLock will not work on
Windows NT (for security reasons).
I wish to apologize for all the Windows NT users as I have
decided to discontinue making the NT Version. But if I receive
enough demand to go on with the project I will start it again.
You will also need the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes which you
can download from the Microsoft website.
Microsoft's web address is http://www.microsoft.com

3. Installing SystemLock
------------------------------
NOTE: Please uninstall any earlier versions of SystemLock
before installing any new versions!
Simply double click on Setup.exe which will launch the
installer that will walk you through the setup process.
The default installation path is C:\program File\SystemLock\
and shortcuts to SystemLock and this file is created on
the startmenu.

4. Uninstalling SystemLock
------------------------------
To uninstall SystemLock, click the "Start" button, point
to "Settings" and click on "Control Panel". Double click on
"Add/Remove Programs" and select SystemLockfrom the list of
available options. Click on Add/Remove and SystemLock will
be completely removed from your system.

5. Using SystemLock
------------------------------
Using SystemLock is VERY easy! Just follow these steps for
securing your PC for the first time:
a. Type a password with which to lock your PC
b. Retype the password (Security reasons)
c. Choose whether the password should be Case Sensitive or not
d. Lock your system by clicking on "Lock"

You can also in-between all these steps configure your
screensaver, type a hint or enable/disable your screensaver.

To unlock your system, do the following:
a. Type the password that you typed to lock your system
b. Make sure that you noted Case Sensitivity
c. Click "Unlock"
d. Resume work as normal after minimizing SystemLock

NOTE: Don't forget your password and e-mail me asking for it!
I DON"T KNOW WHAT IT IS! And there is no way to find out! You
will have reboot your system and lose any unsaved work
